Propelland is an international strategic design agency. I have worked with them on projects for clients Cocacola and McDonalds for the input, brainstorming and ideation phases. The biggest challenge was finding a better solution for an archaic human custom (transporting food and drink) in the fast food sector that uses the PE-coated, single-use cups and plastic straws, both of which are being outlawed.
A Piece of Pie is an innovative business anthropology consultancy with offices around the world. I collaborated on a project concerning attitudes the millenials have towards insurance. I know that generation very well because they represent the majority of my student body. Their attitudes concerning life and the future are unique.
I am one of the co-founders of the designthinkingtank in Austria. We are a multi-disciplinary team of design-thinkers specializing in strategic business solutions and human centered service design.
Specifically, I have worked with designer Rudolf Greger on a public park in Vienna. I provided information from the anthropological sciences concerning niche construction (the process of altering our own environment) and E.O. Wilson´s concept of biophilia (the innate need for humans to feel connected with nature), Rudolf added the design and together we made a beautiful park.
Susanne Honsa Productdesign
For her Masterthesis, Susanne Honsa developed Merhaba, an intercultural furniture solution that follows Cradle 2 Cradle criteria. I consulted her on the ethnographic studies in traditional furniture craftsmanship conducted in Austria, Germany and Turkey. Her design, a woven stool won the Bavarian prize for best design in 2016.
